The Cape Town International Airport is the second busiest airport in South Africa in terms of passenger traffic - the departure level is located on the higher floors and the arrival levels are located on the lower floors of the airport. This modern airport is further divided into domestic and international terminals where travellers will be able to select from a range of duty-free shops, restaurants and souvenir shops - most of the restaurants close by 9:00PM in the evening so be sure to stock up on food and snacks if you intend to spend the night. Travelling to and from Cape Town International Airport to Cape Town’s city centre

The Cape Town International Airport is located around 22km away from the city center and one of the most convenient way to get there is via the use of the MyCiti Airport Shuttle Service - the station is located outside the arrivals terminal and clear signages are around the airport to help you locate this entrance. Once you are there, kindly note that the buses run every 20 minutes and the journey should take no more than 30 minutes (unless there is heavy traffic) - it should not cost more than SGD 6 (USD 4.40). If you wish to save on transportation, purchase a myconnect card and top-up money into the card and the same ride should only cost you half as much. Alternatively, licensed taxis operate outside the arrivals area and while the ride should take you roughly the same duration, it will cost you at least SGD 37 (USD 27.30).
