Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park is only 10 minutes away from the Central Business District, for example, and offers a huge range of activities ranging from cliff-climbing to abseiling, kayaking to picnicking. Tourists can also attempt the Story Bridge Adventure Climb - a one-of-a-kind experience offered only in Brisbane - from Kangaroo Point. This climb is suitable for everyone from beginners to experienced climbers, as various levels of difficulty are offered. Take on suspended walkways and steep stairwells armed with top-notch safety gear and supervised by climbing professionals - it may be both a physical and mental challenge, but the views and sense of accomplishment at the bridge’s summit make the effort well worth it.
Sun-worshippers will also be pleased to note that the stunning Noosa Beach on the famed Sunshine Coast is only a 2.5 hour bus ride from Brisbane City.
