Suvarnabhumi is the larger of the 2 and is located further from the city centre, but is also better connected via public transport. Flights from full-service air carriers are more likely to touch down and take off from Suvarnabhumi Airport, whilst budget airlines are mostly handled at Don Muang International.

  • Suvarnabhumi Airport is situated about 35 kilometres from Bangkok. A taxi ride from the airport to the city would take around 35 minutes at a fare of about THB 300 (SGD 12.05).
  • Don Muang Airport is located about 5 kilometres closer to Bangkok than Suvarnabhumi. A taxi ride to the city should cost around THB 200 (SGD 8.03) and take about half an hour.
