Cheap flights from Kosovo

Kosovo is a partially recognised state in Southeastern Europe that declared independence from Serbia as the Republic of Kosovo in February 2008. It is a disputed territory and de facto independent country, with Serbia recognising the Republic's governance of the territory but continues to claim it as its own Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija. It is a secular republic country which has a largely Albanian-speaking and Muslim community, with a significant numbers of minorities living within its borders, especially Serbs.

It is landlocked in the central Balkan Peninsula, bordered by the Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the south, Montenegro to the west, and Central Serbia to the north and east. Kosovo’s capital and largest city is Pristina.

Where to go

Visit Pristina, also spelled Prishtina, the capital of Kosovo. It serves as the administrative centre of the homonymous municipality and district. While here, visit the Pristina Ethnographic Museum, a creatively curated museum housed in two striking 18th- and 19th- century houses; the Austro-Hungarian style national museum; mosques on Nazim Gafurri Street, like Jashar Pasha Mosque; and the library of the University of Pristina, which looks like it is built with vast concrete Lego bricks and then covered with chain mail. Stroll along the city, starting in front of the three-storey portrait of Bill Clinton, past the university to the Grand Hotel, historic mosques, old quarter, and market. Then continue to the park and one of the cafes to grab something to eat or drink. At the outskirts of the city is the beautiful Gërmia Park, which is popular with families and young people, with its lake-sized swimming pool, grassy spaces, array of restaurants, and great views at the top of the park.

From Pristina International Airport, you can book a flight to London (within roughly three hours), the capital and largest city of both England and of the United Kingdom. It is the largest city in Western Europe and the European Union. Known as one of the leading "global cities" in the world, London is

regarded as an international capital of culture, music, education, fashion, politics, finance, and trade. Visit its famous landmarks like Buckingham Palace, the official London residence of the Queen; the photographic Piccadilly Circus, where the statue of Eros stands proudly in the middle, while a massive, iconic neon sign dominates the north eastern side; the London Eye, the third largest observation wheel in the world; the historic Tower of London, the city’s original royal fortress by the Thames; as well as Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the United Kingdom parliament and World Heritage site. Immerse yourself in history, art, and culture in London’s world-class museums like British Museum, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, and Tate Britain.

Jeddah can be reached from Pristina on a roughly eight-hour flight. Jeddah is the largest city in Makkah Province, the largest sea port on the Red Sea, and the second-largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city, Riyadh. It is regarded as a significant commercial hub in Saudi Arabia, having a population estimated at 5.1 million.  It is also the main gateway to Mecca, Islam's holiest city, and to Medina, the second holiest place in Islam. It is one of the country’s primary resort cities and was named a Gamma world city by the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC).
