Flight options

Schiphol Airport is the only international air facility of Amsterdam, and is located about 18 kilometres from the city centre. The airport consists of 4 separate passenger terminals, and is served by an underground rail station with a 24-hour train service that goes direct to the heart of the city. With trains departing every 10-15 minutes and buses to Amsterdam also available every 30 minutes or so, getting back and forth from the airport is no trouble at all.

Schiphol Airport is served by diverse airlines from around the world, including traveler favourites like Air France, American Airlines, Etihad Airways, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and many others. As such, international connections to a huge variety of cities throughout Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia are offered at the airport.

Where to go

Domestic

As the Netherlands is rather small, those who want to see more of the country are advised to use ground transportation to get around instead. From Amsterdam, rail connections to nearby cities like Rotterdam and Holland are plentiful but no scheduled domestic flights are available.

International
