United Airways Bangladesh Flights

United Airways (BD) Ltd. is a Bangladeshi airline and a public limited company by shares. The company is headquartered in the Uttara Model Town, a suburb of the capital Dhaka. It was founded in early 2005 and has been operating schedule passengers' flights in the domestic routes of Bangladesh since July 2007. United Airways has its main hub at the Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka and has a secondary hub at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong. United Airways is Bangladesh's first listed company in the aviation sector, and was created with the aim to develop a world-class airline in Bangladesh.

There are some controversies surrounding the United Airways. In 2011, a London court had ordered the airline to repaint its fleet as well as change its brand after American carrier United Airlines took legal action for 'illegally violating' its trademark and 'wrongly associating its services with the American airline's'. In April 2014, CAAB threatened to suspend United Airways' operations due to its outstanding aeronautical and non-aeronautical fees. In July 2014, the airline's safety and maintenance standards were questioned.
