Lucky Air Flights

Lucky Air is a small regional airline based in Kunming, Yunnan, People's Republic of China, near the Honghe Hotel. It operates scheduled services from Dali to Kunming and Xishuangbanna, and plans to expand to more areas within domestic reach. The airline was established in 2004, while its first flight was launched in February of 2006. 


Following its formal launching and between the six-year period ending in 2012, Lucky Air has developed into one of the major names in the domestic airline scene. In 2008, its mother group HNA, or more formally known as the Hainan Airlines Company Limited, has established a strategic cooperative relation with Yunnan Provincial SASAC to co-own Lucky Air. By 2010, the Civil Aviation Administration of China permitted Lucky Air to transfer its base from Dali to Kunming, further strengthening the said pact with the local Yunnan Provincial SASAC. 


Currently, Lucky Air owns a fleet of 20 planes including six Boeing 737-700, eight Boeing 737-800, three Airbus 319, and three Airbus 320 aircraft. The fleet brings Lucky Air's passengers to 26 provinces and 40 cities across China, boasting of 37 flight routes. The airline also has the third largest share of the Yunnan civil aviation market, handling 12% of the total number of passengers next to giants China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines.
