Operating out of Singapore, Jetstar Asia is a part of the Jetstar Group and boasts of a wide network of flights. While most of Jetstar Asia’s all-Airbus 320 fleet are configured in single-Economy Class layouts, they also have aircraft in two-class configurations with Economy Class and Business Class for selected international flights. The fare types are upgradable with extra options for a nominal fee. The add-on options, which can be purchased as bundles, include baggage allowance, fare flexibility, inflight meals, and seat features. Jetstar teams up with partner airlines’ loyalty programs such as Qantas Frequent Flyer and Emirates Skywards for frequent flyer credits.

Why Fly with Jetstar Asia


Jetstar Asia makes check-in convenient with the various ways available to check-in for your flight. Web check-in service is available for eligible passengers who can print their own boarding pass or use the mobile boarding pass at selected airports. Passengers traveling out of Singapore can avail of early check-in or use the self-service kiosks at the airport to check-in. Passengers traveling out of Hong Kong can also use the in-town check-in facility. Those who opt to do online check-in and are traveling with checked baggage only need to drop off their baggage before check-in time closes. Passengers who are not eligible for any web, mobile, or kiosk check-in service can do so at the Jetstar airport counters. Do remember to check your tickets or Jetstar's website for the check-in times as it may vary depending on your departing airport.

Payment Methods

Jetstar Asia accepts international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB, and UATP). American Express may be accepted on selected flights. Please note that booking and service fees will apply. For purchase in Singapore, eNETS using your internet banking account, may also be used to pay for tickets online. Alternatively, offline payments via SingPost or 7-Eleven stores are available for bookings made on the Jetstar Asia website on the condition that payment is made at least 14 days before the flight departure date.


Fees may apply for seat selection depending on the fare type. Passengers on Economy Starter fares will need to pay for seat selection. Standard seat selection is included in a Starter Plus bundle, while Starter Max and Business Class passengers are free to choose standard, upfront or extra legroom seats with no extra fees. Seating options are subject to availability and conditions will apply for those who select extra legroom seats in the exit rows.

Baggage Allowance

Baggage allowance depends on the fare type or bundle purchased for the flight. The most basic starter fare for Economy Class does not have any checked baggage allowance, with only 7 kg carry-on baggage allowed per passenger. Additional baggage allowance may be purchased in increments of 5 kg starting from 15 kg up to 40 kg. Travelers who purchased the Plus bundle get complimentary 20 kg, while Max bundle comes with free 30 kg of checked baggage. Business fares also have 30 kg of checked baggage allowance. Each passenger has the option of adding baggage allowance up to 40 kg per passenger per flight, however, the maximum allowable weight for a single piece of luggage is 32 kg.

In-Flight Services

All of Jetstar Asia’s flights offer a selection of snack items, beverages, and hot meals available for pre-purchase or onboard the flight. Jetstar inflight vouchers may also be purchased in advance for use during the flight for food or duty-free items. It is recommended to make pre-orders for meals in order to get your preferred choice. Business Class passengers will enjoy the variety of entertainment offerings with the in-seat screens and include noise-cancelling headphones. Passengers on Economy fares will have the option to pre-purchase the access to inflight entertainment on international flights.
