South East Asian Airlines International, also called SEAIR International or simply Seair, was a low-cost airline based in Clark, Philippines. It was established in 1995 as SEAir Inc, but was rebranded to Tigerair Philippines. Following the rebranding, its main base was transferred from Clark International Airport, Angeles, Pampanga to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Metro Manila. The airline is a franchise of JG Summit, the parent company of Cebu Pacific.

As SEAIR, the airline mainly operated aircraft leasing, chartering, and domestic flights, offering services in the Clark-Manila-Subic area and flights to tourist destinations throughout Luzon and Visayas. On 29 September 2006, it was announced that Singapore-based Tigerair would tie-up with SEAIR; two planes in Tigerair colours were to be leased to SEAIR. The planes were to be operated by SEAIR's pilots and crew, but marketed and its tickets sold through the Tigerair website. The plan was put on hiatus temporarily, but was officially launched on 16 December 2010.

How to Check In

Online check-in is open from 72 hours up to one hour prior to departure for both international and domestic flights. Web check-in is available for individuals and group bookings with less than nine guests, passengers with carry-on luggage, and those who must check-in luggage. After checking in online, please print two copies of the boarding pass, which is to be presented along with the applicable visa, travel document checks, and valid Photo IDs at the dedicated web check-in counter at the airport. Baggage, if any, must be checked in at least 45 minutes before the flight departure. If checking in at the airport, drop off checked-in bags at the bag drop counter three hours to 45 minutes before scheduled departure for weighing and tagging. Please be at the boarding gate 30 minutes before take-off.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Only two pieces of hand baggage are allowed per passenger, and must not exceed the dimensions 54 cm x 38 cm x 23 cm, with a combined weight of 10kg. The airline reserves the right to refuse items of excessive weight or size, or are deemed dangerous or of offensive nature. Passengers are given the choice to travel with hand luggage only in order to save. At the time reservation, those who need to check baggage can check the luggage upsize option. The corresponding fee displayed will be added to the total flight purchase price. If a passenger is unable to pre-book luggage upsize online at the time of booking, another option is to contact the call centre up to 4 hours before scheduled departure. Those who are still unable to do so can still avail of the luggage upsize option at the airport on the day of the departure, but can purchase the 15 kg baggage tier.

SeatingAirport Awards

Pre-selection of seats can be done during the booking process for a nominal fee. If the booking has already been completed and the seats not selected, passengers may use the "Manage My Booking" function on Tigerair Philippines' official website or call the call centre for assistance at least four hours prior to departure.

Tigerair Philippines has won several awards and recognitions, including the Low Cost Airline of the Year Award at CAPA's Aviation Awards for Excellence in 2010, Best In-Flight Meals in the low cost airline category at the Asia Pacific Airline Food Awards 2012, and Top Airline by Growth in Cargo Carriage at the Changi Airline Awards 2013.
