Air Tahiti Nui Flights

Air Tahiti Nui is a French airline and is French Polynesia's flag carrier airline with its head office in the Immeuble Dexter in Papeete, Tahiti. It operates international services for the low- and high-end leisure travel markets. Its main base is Faa'a International Airport, Papeete.

Air Tahiti Nui was established in October 1996 and commenced flight operations on 20 November 1998. It is the first international airline based in Papeete, Tahiti, formed to develop inbound tourism. The government of French Polynesia is the major shareholder along with other local investors. Currently, Air Tahiti Nui has more than 800 employees.

In-flight Entertainment

Air Tahiti Nui uses the RAVE system, which is easy to use and offers 14 movies per flight, 24 television programmes and 15 different games. Passengers in the Economy Class can select what they want to watch on their 9-inch screen while those in the Business Class have a larger 12 inch screen.

Baggage Allowances

In Air Tahiti, the hand baggage allowance is the same whatever your destination. So you can take with you, free of charge, baggage within the following limits: Maximum dimensions: 45 x 35 x 20 cm (17 x 13 x 7 in) Maximum weight: 3 kg (6.6 lb) In addition to your maximum allowance, you may carry one personal items weighing no more than 3kg such as a handbag, pocket book, small camera case or binocular, infant bag or baby food. Walking sticks, canes and crutches can be carried, provided they can be safely stored on board. An exception is made for bridal dresses – they can be carried on board as long as they weigh no more than 5ktg and 140cm long.
