Valuair Flights

The name of Valuair may not ring a bell to new travellers but it actually was the pioneer of the budget airline industry in Singapore in 2004. Initially operating as a low-cost carrier to Bangkok and Hong Kong, it was then acquired by rival Jetstar but retained its identity and logo. Currently, Valuair acts as the leading carrier to Indonesian cities, Bali, Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya, where travellers book their tickets through the Jetstar website.

Why Fly with Valuair

How to Check In

An online check-in done 2 to 48 hours prior to flying will save you the hassle of queuing up at the check-in counters before boarding. After selecting your seats via the interactive website, a boarding pass will be electronically issued which you can just print and fly, doing away with the need to stop by any check-in counters! Otherwise, those with check-in baggage or other enquiries can head down to the check-in counters where the friendly ground staff will take you through the check-in process.

Baggage allowance and fees

Baggage issues could sometimes hinder the check-in process so be sure to familiarise yourself with the requirements. For Economy class passengers, a main carry-on and another small item with a combined weight of 7 to 10kg is allowed. Do note that the carry-on luggage should be able to fit the bottom of the front seat or the overhead storage compartment of the aircraft. Non-adherence to the requirements may result in additional charges. For Business class passengers, additional carry-on luggage with a combined weight of up to 20kg is allowed. Like all other airlines, liquids, gels and aerosols should not be brought up the plane in the carry-on baggage. Check-in allowances of 15kg, 20kg, 25kg, 30kg, 35kg or 40kg are available for purchase for a charge of $100 or more while booking your tickets online or while at the check-in counter, so you don't have to worry about exceeding your shopping restrictions while on vacation!

Booking fees

Booking a flight ticket with Valuair can be done on the Jetstar website and various ticketing sites. A customer service hotline is also available for those who wish to book their tickets verbally, but offline booking fees apply. Through the Jetstar website, you can easily select your departure airport, destination, preferred dates and number of passengers. The website provides customers with flexibility to book a hotel together with the ticket or choose the lowest ticket prices from a range of dates.

Inflight Services

Travellers can opt for a meal to be served on board or for in-flight entertainment at a low fee, although there are also magazines in the back pockets of the seats for your reading enjoyment. With such flexibility, Valuair is perfect for all kinds of travellers with different flying needs. Also, something worth mentioning would be that frequent Jetstar flyers can also earn Qantas points. Simply create an account with Jetstar and book your flight tickets via that account to start accumulating points.
